Researcher:
'I was attracted to Highfinance by the obvious enthusiasm and passion for the company that everyone I met in my interviews showed.
We are a rapidly developing firm and from day one I felt like a member of the ‘family’. I have enjoyed many work parties where the whole company get involved as well as many impromptu nights out; some of my best friends in London are my work colleagues. We also have a company football and netball team and there is always the opportunity to go to corporate events.
Attending a weeks solid training course along with in house training, I felt confident to start in my role. I am encouraged to keep asking questions and learning more.
The atmosphere in the office is fantastic. Energy levels are high and there is always a lot of banter flying around. There is great playful competitiveness between the pods although support and advice from colleagues on all pods is always on hand.
In only 3 months at Highfinance I have seen immediate rewards for the work I have put in and can see the firm growing. I am excited about my future at Highfinance and am eager to become a consultant.'
Researcher 2
As a fresh-face King’s College London graduate there were endless avenues for me to explore. After much deliberation, I decided to investigate opportunities in financial recruitment. Having attended a number of interviews with a number of big recruitment agencies, I was sceptical about recruitment being the right profession for me. That was true, until I joined Highfinance.
My role as a researcher has been a safari of exploration and learning. No day is ever the same and I found that I am constantly learning from those who have spent significant time in the industry. I have found enormous pleasure in watching people I have searched go through the interview process and finally to the acceptance of a new job. The training period of six months was a big appeal when joining the company as I believe it is paramount in the shaping the future of the company’s future consultants.
The work is testing at times and often things don’t work out the way you would like. However, it is the satisfaction of finding solutions to these problems that bring immense satisfaction. My time as a researcher has been imperative and I am looking forward to the next stage in my development as a Highfinance consultant.
Associate Director
Having come from a Maths background, I was unsure of the career I wanted to pursue, however recruitment posed itself as something different and challenging so I thought I would give it ago. 3 years on and I am pleased to stay I am still enjoying what I do! Working within a specialist market, where you are liaising with senior board executives one day to junior members the next, it definitely keeps you on your toes.
Having worked previously in industry I have found Highfinance to be an opportunistic company, where you are treated as an adult from day one, given the up most respect, responsibility and autonomy to make decisions that are crucial towards the business. What makes the company different is that the business is always looking for new and innovative ideas, hence where better to look then within the business, comprised of academically sound individuals. Highfinance is a place where your voice will get heard and ideas are promoted and turned to reality with the support and guidance from the company
However it’s not just all about hard work, but enjoying your work to. The financial rewards are fantastic, but the recognition for your hard work is even better! It’s the people that make the company an enjoyable place to work. Consultants come from all walks of life, who are keen and ambitious and successfully aiming towards the same goals, celebrating not just own but in other peoples success stories too.
Having started at the bottom and working up to Associate Director is something I couldn’t have reached without the support and the people in the business. My experience is something that I have thoroughly enjoyed, from then, till now and I can confidently say in the future too.
The insurance market has proved to be one of the most evolving fields which I am happy to be a part of and I am proud to say that I don’t work for Highfinance but WITH Highfinance.
